(WNFL/UW ATHLETICS) – The Wisconsin Badgers will face South Dakota this Saturday afternoon at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
The Badgers are coming off a 28-14 win over Western Michigan in their season opener.
Things to think about
- Wisconsin will face South Dakota to Camp Randall for the first time since 2011. The game will be broadcast live on FS1.
- Wisconsin’s season-opening 28-14 win over Western Michigan was Wisconsin’s 27th consecutive non-conference home opener win.
- Wisconsin meets a Missouri Valley Conference opponent for the first time since hosting Illinois State in the ‘22 opener. The Badgers are 19-1 all-time against teams currently in the MVFC, with UW’s lone loss coming in 1935 to South Dakota State.
- A win would give the Badgers an 18-2 record over the last 10 seasons in non-conference home games. Wisconsin’s only blemishes at Camp Randall since 2015 been versus BYU (2018) and Washington State (2022).
- A victory would make the Badgers 2-0 in a season for the first time since 2020. During
the COVID-19 impacted season, Wisconsin won handily in games against Illinois (45-7) and Michigan (49-11) to start the season.
