ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay area will host a national gymnastics championship next year.
YMCA of the USA (Y-USA), the national resource office for the 2,600 YMCAs across the country, announced the 2025 YMCA National Gymnastics Championships will be held at the Resch Expo, June 23-29, 2025.
This event hosts approximately 2,000 athletes from across the country, ranging in age from 6 years old to 20 years old.
The first YMCA National Gymnastics Championship took place in 1938. Each year, Y-USA selects a local YMCA to host the event. In 2025, it will be hosted in partnership by the Fond du Lac Family YMCA, the Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA and the Greater Green Bay YMCA.
The championship will be open to the public.
In addition to the competition, the event features an opening ceremony, parade of athletes and a senior reception to honor all graduating high school seniors and scholarship recipients.
