Luxemburg Step-Mother Convicted in Child Abuse Case, Months after Father’s Sentencing

KEWAUNEE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The step-mother of a 7-year-old girl was convicted Wednesday of child abuse, a few months after the father was sentenced to 25 years in prison in the case.

Dawn Jimenez, 38, pleaded guilty to being party for repeated physical abuse of a child causing great bodily harm, chronic child neglect, and causing mental harm to a child, court records show. A sentencing date was not immediately available.

Previously, Alan Finch of Luxemburg, was sentenced for his role in the case.

Finch’s daughter was taken to a hospital in October, 2021, which then notified police it appeared the girl had been physically abused.
