(LEARFIELD MILWAUKEE – The Brewers gave up leads of 2-1 and 4-3 before losing to the San Francisco Giants Tuesday night.
Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski’s two-run shot in the seventh inning gave the visitors a 5-4 victory at American Family Field.
Joel Payamps gave up the blast and took the loss.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about the loss.
Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames went deep for Milwaukee.
Chourio’s 449-foot homer was the longest of the season for his team.
Tobias Myers who started for the Brewers and went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits talked about his outing.
Myers said one thing that has made him effective this season is limiting his mistakes but said he made a couple against the Giants.
Freddy Peralta starts Wednesday night’s game for the Brewers. Peralta is 8-7 with a 3.86 ERA.
The Giants will counter with Kyle Harrison who is 7-5 with a 4.00 ERA.
