Could the Badgers start a freshman in the offensive line?

(LEARFIELD) PLATTEVILLE – He worked with the number-one offensive line in Badgers but freshman Kevin Heywood isn’t a starter – yet.

The six-foot-eight, 325-pounder is opening some eyes in Wisconsin’s summer camp.

The start of the season is just over three weeks away. Coaches say the first-year player is “ahead of the curve” and could become one of the best offensive linemen in the football program’s history.

Noting that Heywood is still a teenager, one coach says, “Imagine what he’ll be like when he’s 20.”
