ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Northeast Wisconsin janitorial services company has been sold to a St. Louis-based firm.
4M Building Solutions on Monday announced the acquisition of Thario Building Services. 4M will continue to operate from Thario’s office on Holmgren Way in Ashwaubenon.
“We were primarily operating in the metro areas of Milwaukee and Madison, covering the lower third of the state. Thario’s headquarters in Green Bay and its existing portfolio gives us an immediate presence in the middle of the state, north, and communities along the coast of Lake Michigan,” 4M CEO Tim Murch said in a statement.
“Geographically, it’s an excellent fit for us, creating opportunities to expand throughout the state. More important, it’s a cultural fit,” Murch continued. “We know Thario as a company and Roger and Diane as leaders. I, and my father before his passing, associated with the Tharios for decades through our involvement in BSCAI and other industry organizations. We were real-time witnesses to the fine company they were building.”
“Being acquired by 4M Building Solutions is a significant milestone for our company. 4M’s reputation for successful acquisitions instills confidence in the long-term success of what we’ve built in Green Bay,” CEO Roger Thario said in a statement. “This transition promises to bring tremendous benefits to our team, offering new opportunities for growth and development. Customers will get an enhanced level of service with access to a broader range of resources.”
Thario has 290 employees who clean nearly 8 million square feet every day. Facilities it cleans include educational facilities, office buildings and manufacturing facilities. The company also does post-construction cleanup.
Roger Thario and his wife, Diane, the company’s CFO, plan to retire but remain with 4M for several months as consultants.
