(LEARFIELD) – Prior to Major League Baseball’s trade deadline, the Brewers tinkered with their roster.
They sent Jakub Junis and Joey Wiemer to Cincinnati for starting pitcher Frankie Montas, acquired reliever Nick Mears from the Colorado Rockies and added starting pitcher Aaron Civale from Tampa Bay.
Brewers GM Matt Arnold talked those moves.
Arnold said a different environment will hopefully help Montas.
Arnold also talked about having to lose a player like Joey Wiemer.
Arnold said that his club was looking at acquiring a number of different players.
The clubs is hoping that with those additions and a potential return to health of Christian Yelich they will have the personnel to make a deep playoff run.
