OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Oshkosh’s GO Transit is changing its fares this week.
The public transportation service in the Greater Oshkosh area will implement fare changes effective Aug. 1.
Regular one-way fares will increase to $2 per one-way trip, and senior and disabled fares will be $1. These fares are consistent with public transportation systems in the area.
On Aug. 5, as part of efforts to enhance the commuter experience, GO Transit will be implementing route adjustments on routes 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7, along with strategic alterations to “paired/interlined” routes at the downtown Oshkosh Transit Center to minimize transfers.
GO Transit is also hosting a Ride Free Day on Aug. 5, which provides free rides for all passengers for the entire day to introduce the route changes.
Driven by rider, operator and community feedback, these modifications were approved by the city of Oshkosh Transportation Committee and Common Council on April 9, 2024.
