ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A new development featuring apartment units, commercial space and hundreds of parking stalls was approved Tuesday by the Ashwaubenon Village Board.
It’s set to be built on an empty lot at the corner of Holmgren Way and Cormier Road, adjacent to the Green Bay Rockers stadium. The lot is the previous site of Green Bay Packaging.
Mark Skogen — who owns the Rockers and the nearby EPIC Event Center — purchased the lot in February under the name Cormier Property Partners.
Officials told FOX 11 the mixed-use development will boast 152 apartment units, along with first-floor commercial space and some common areas.
Additionally, the development will feature overflow parking for Capital Credit Union Park Stadium and EPIC Event Center, with 295 dedicated spaces for event parking and 43 for dedicated commercial parking.
In an interview in early July, Ashwaubenon’s community development director Aaron Schuette told FOX 11, “We are really trying to really reinvent ourselves from your classic, first ring suburb. Your standard, strip shopping centers, things like that, into a mixed-use entertainment, active place where people want to not just go to shop or go to get something to eat, but really to live, to work, to start a business.”
There is no word on when construction on the site will begin.
