OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The second day of EAA AirVenture is off to a rainy start.
Organizers say they’re keeping an eye on the weather.
EAA director of communications, Dick Kapinski, says the weather may hold down some arrivals and departures and may affect afternoon airshows.
A big event planned for Tuesday is the Frecce Tricolori Aerobatic Team from Italian Air Force appearance.
It’s the team’s first visit to Oshkosh since 1986.
Kapinski says they are monitoring the weather to make sure they can land and spend the day at EAA.
There are also plenty to explore indoors on the grounds as well, including learning more about the Young Eagles program.
The 30-year-old program aims to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation. It offers kids, ages 8-17, a free introductory flight.
