GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — First responders will partner with the Green Bay Packers and the NFL for a simulated training exercise Tuesday at Lambeau Field.
Officials say the training is in preparation for the upcoming Packers season and the 2025 NFL Draft, which will take place in Green Bay.
Participating in the exercise is the Green Bay Police Department and many other local law enforcement, fire and EMS agencies. According to GBPD, “The goal is to practice communication and coordination through simulated events and facilitated discussions.”
Training will occur inside Lambeau Field but will not impede visitor access to the stadium.
The public may notice a large number of emergency vehicles in the Lambeau Field parking lot while the exercise is in progress. There will also be simulated radio traffic of events occurring at the stadium.
Residents should be aware it is all part of the training and not a real incident.
