(LEARFIELD) – Former Marquette guard Tyler Kolek is lighting it up in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Kolek is playing for the Knicks and he stood out from the field in New York’s 106-105 win Wednesday.
He had 21 points, eight assists, and four rebounds, connecting on the winning 3-pointers in the closing seconds.
Another former Golden Eagle player Justin Lewis scored 11 for the Knicks.
Kolek slipped to the second round in this year’s NBA Draft based on questions about his athleticism and ability to finish against bigger opponents.
He’s diminishing those doubts after dishing out 22 assists in four summer league games.
