FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man who allegedly took more than $600 from a Fond du Lac Kwik Trip was arrested.
Just after 3:30 a.m. Monday, police responded to the Kwik Trip on N. Main Street for a report of a robbery.
Police say the suspect entered the Kwik Trip and placed a note on the counter that read, “Give me all you got in the cash registers before everyone gets hurt.” No weapon was displayed during the robbery.
The suspect grabbed all the money from the cash registers along with some food and cigarette items before running away on N. Main Street.
Officers searched the area and found a male matching the description in the 100 block of W. Bank Street.
The suspect ran away and after a short pursuit, the 19-year-old Fond du Lac man was taken into custody.
The money taken during the robbery was recovered and the suspect was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail on multiple charges including robbery and bail jumping.
