(WTAQ-WLUK) — A husband and wife are announced as new majors for the Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay.
Major Catherine Fitzgerald is the new Greater Green Bay Area Coordinator and will oversee all activities of public relations, fundraising, social services, and agency relationships for The Salvation Army in Brown County.
Catherine’s husband, Major Jonathan Fitzgerald, is serving as the Senior Kroc Center Officer. In his new role he oversees the business and operations of the Green Bay Kroc Community Center on Lime Kiln which offers programming opportunities in education, arts, fitness, and recreation to the community.
“We feel blessed to have been assigned to a community that has a wonderful reputation of generosity and supporting one another,” said Major Catherine Fitzgerald. “We are excited to meet more people over the coming months and continue the work of The Salvation Army in Greater Green Bay.”
“It is an honor to be assigned to oversee the operations of one of the 26 Kroc Centers across the country,” said Major Jonathan Fitzgerald. “There are so many inspiring programs and opportunities in this building, and I’m looking forward to getting to know the members and being a part of not only the Kroc Center but the Greater Green Bay community.”
The Fitzgeralds have 16 years of Salvation Army experience. In previous appointments they served as Officers in Kingston, Jamaica; Chicago, IL; Bloomington, IN and most recently in New Albany, IN for the past 6 years.
