GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A person is in custody after a disturbance in Green Bay had a portion of East Mason Street closed Wednesday morning.
Just before 6:15 a.m., police responded to the 1300 block of East Mason Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they identified the suspect inside the residence and began negotiating with the individual to come out peacefully.
At the time of the call, one other person was inside the residence. They were able to exit safely.
The Crisis Negotiations Team and the SWAT Team were called to the scene to assist.
While this was going on, the 1300 block of East Mason Street between South Irwin Avenue and South Baird Street was closed to traffic.
Just before 8:30 a.m., police said the 32-year-old man came out and was taken into custody without incident.
The area reopened to traffic.
No one was hurt.
