CLEVELAND, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — More than 70 students at a Manitowoc County community college received scholarships for the upcoming academic year.
73 students attending Lakeshore Technical College received Kohler Foundation Advantage Scholarships. 23 of those recipients are 2024 high school graduates from 10 high schools in the Lakeshore district, along with home-schooled students.
Officials say the scholarship “recognizes exemplary students seeking diverse pathways to secondary education” and ensures students “can graduate from Lakeshore with little or no student loan debt.” The funds are renewable, as long as the students continue to meet the scholarship requirements.
Kohler Foundation Advantage Scholarships were also awarded to 50 students currently enrolled at Lakeshore Technical College. Each received $1,000 for either the fall 2024 or spring 2025 semesters to close the gap in their financial need.
Kohler Foundation’s dedication to educational advancement reflects its belief in the power of education to transform lives and communities. The Foundation remains committed to supporting students in their educational journeys, reinforcing the importance of making significant contributions to our collective future.
In a news release, Lakeshore Technical College President Dr. Paul Carlsen said, “We are thankful for Kohler Foundation’s investment in students and our communities, and we look forward to these students continuing their education at our college.”
Scholarship recipients are enrolled in 14 programs at Lakeshore Technical College, highlighting the broad range of career aspirations and areas of study that can be pursued at LTC.
