ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – If you drove past the Don Hutson Center Saturday, you may have seen a line of fans and family out the door; that’s because the annual Junior Power Pack Kids Clinic was held.
For the 25th year, the Packers hosted dozens of young kids, who were given the chance to test their football skills and get an up-close behind-the-scenes NFL experience.
Young fans participated in skills and drills that are similar to a routine NFL practice.
Big-name Packers players Jaire Alexander, Josh Jacobs, and Rasheed Walker stopped by the event for part of the day to watch the kids step into their roles for the day.
The Packers organization says the event is a great way to help grow the next generation of fans.
“Have them get the opportunity to practice with some of the players, have them run through football drills, to see where the Packers practice, and just give them an opportunity to come to Green Bay if they aren’t normally from here,” says Haylee Helmle, the Packers Fan Engagement Manager.
Before leaving for the day, kids got the chance to take a photo with Packers players, and received a special gift and certificate of participation, too.
