LA CROSSE, WI (WSAU) — Kwik Trip Inc. has announced the purchase of 34 PDQ convenience stores in southern Wisconsin.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the stores in Oak Creek, Cedarburg, Sussex, Delafield, Waukesha, and Madison will push Kwik Trip’s total store count over 600. The deal is expected to close in October.
A Kwik Trip spokesman said the company will spend $30 million to $40 million on remodeling the stores and bringing them up to standards for their food program. With this purchase, Kwik Trip will have added more than 200 stores since 2013.
The new locations will still be known as PDQ until the remodels are complete in mid-2018.
