GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A U.S. Senator is in Green Bay to discuss the fentanyl crisis.
On Wednesday, Sen. Tammy Baldwin hosted a private meeting with Brown County area law enforcement and public safety leaders for a discussion on the fentanyl crisis and their work to combat it.
Following the closed-door meeting, Sen. Baldwin and attendees held a press conference to discuss the conversation and her work to combat the fentanyl and opioid crisis.
Last month, Wisconsin health officials submitted their plan on how they will distribute $36 million in opioid settlement funds.
And during last month’s national Drug Take Back Day, Wisconsinites dropped off the most unwanted medications.
