UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 27-year-old James C. Terrill of Fond du Lac. The initial investigation indicated that Terrill contacted an energized line while assisting with recovery efforts. An autopsy was conducted by the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday. The results of the autopsy are still pending.

WASHINGTON ISLAND, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – OSHA is investigating an “occupational fatality” which happened Saturday morning on Washington Island.
The incident happened at about 8:15 a.m.
“OSHA opened the investigation with Michels Underground Cable, Inc. No further information will be available until OSHA has completed their investigation, which, by law, OSHA has 6 months to complete,” said OSHA spokesman Scott Allen.
No other details about the incident were released.
