NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The city of Neenah and organizers of the Fox Valley Pride 2024 festival have agreed on a location.
The festival will be held at Riverside Park in Neenah on June 22 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
But it wasn’t the festival’s first choice. It originally wanted to have it downtown Neenah on two blocks of W. Wisconsin Avenue, but the city declined, saying downtown businesses haven’t liked shutting the street down on Saturdays in the past.
The festival at Riverside Park will feature more than 70 vendors, food trucks and community resource booths as well as live entertainment, headlined by Wisconsin indie rock group Betsy Ade and the Well-Known Strangers. Opportunities are still available for sponsors, vendors, and volunteers; more information can be found at fvpride.org.
Organizers renamed the festival, formerly known as Appleton Pride, to reflect a commitment to embrace all communities across the Fox Valley area.
Fox Valley Pride is the largest celebration of LGBTQIA2S+ life in Wisconsin’s Fox Valley. What began in 2021 as grassroots gathering called Appleton Pride has grown into an annual festival.
