Facing elimination from the USHL Clark Cup Playoffs, the Green Bay Gamblers stayed alive with a dramatic 2-1 victory over the Muskegon Lumberjacks at the Resch Center Wednesday night. Down 2-1 in the best of five series after getting shutout 2-0 at home in Game 3, the Gamblers got the jump with a Ben Poitras goal just 2:38 into the contest. Muskegon got the equalizer midway through the first period and the game stayed 1-1 to the closing moments. Jayson Shaugabay’s third goal of the series came with just :36 left in regulation to deliver the win. The Gamblers now head back to Muskegon, where they captured Game 1, for the decisive 5th game on Friday night with the winner heading to the Eastern Conference finals.
