MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) – Milwaukee health officials say a Marquette University student diagnosed with bacterial meningitis has been hospitalized.
The student’s roommate is said to be getting preventative treatment.
Both students live in a campus residence hall.
Health officials say bacterial meningitis isn’t spread by casual contact or through the air. It does require immediate medical attention and antibiotics are used to treat it.
