TOWN OF GREENBUSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A faulty heat lamp is believed to have started a fire that destroyed a barn in Sheboygan County.
Just after 5 p.m. Thursday, the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Department received a report of a barn fire at W9152 Chickadee Drive in the town of Greenbush.
When deputies arrived on scene, the barn — which was close to two other barns and housed approximately 30 chickens — was fully engulfed in flames.
Crews extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to additional buildings. The barn was deemed a total loss. Officials say the fire appears to have been caused by a faulty heat lamp. No persons were injured.
