APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — While utility crews work to restore power to thousands across Northeast Wisconsin in the wake of powerful winter storms, Appleton is opening a number of buildings for residents to power up their electronic devices.
The following charging stations will be open Thursday:
Scheig Center
- Operating Hours: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Location: Appleton’s Memorial Park at 1313 E Witzke Blvd, Appleton, 54911
- Note: Scheig Center does not have a backup generator. In the event of a power outage, this location will be closed.
Reid Golf Course
- Operating Hours: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Location: 1100 E Fremont St, Appleton, 54915
- Note: Reid Golf Course does not have a backup generator. In the event of a power outage, this location will be closed.
Appleton Public Library
- Operating Hours: Open as usual, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Location: 3000 E College Ave
Valley Transit Center
- Operating Hours: Open as usual, 5 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Location: 100 E. Washington St. Appleton, 54911
