Wednesday Closures on I-41 Canceled Because of Winter Storm

(WTAQ-WLUK) — Winter storms have road crews pressing the pause button on two major road construction projects on Interstate 41.

All closures that had been scheduled for Wednesday night are canceled, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation says.

Closures for the rest of the week are:

Thursday and Friday

• Northbound and southbound I-41 between Wisconsin Ave. and Richmond Street CLOSED overnight Thursday, April 4 from 11:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
• I-41 between Wisconsin Ave. and Richmond Street CLOSED overnight, Friday, April 5 from 11:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  o Detour: SB I-41: Take WIS 47/Richmond Street south to WIS 96/Wisconsin Avenue. Turn right and head west to SB I-41.
  o Detour: NB I-41: Take WIS 96/Wisconsin Avenue east to WIS 47/Richmond Street. Turn left and head north to NB I-41.
• In addition, the following ramps will be closed Thursday and Friday:
  o NB I-41 entrance ramp from WIS 96 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  o NB I-41 exit ramp to WIS 15 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  o NB I-41 entrance ramp from WIS 15/County OO from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  o NB I-41 exit ramp to WIS 47 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  o SB I-41 entrance ramp from WIS 47 full closure from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  o SB I-41 exit ramp to WIS 15 full closure from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• On Thursday, April 4, there will be an NB I-41 left lane closure between WIS 96/Wisconsin Ave entrance ramp and Capitol Drive from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• On Friday, April 5, there will be an NB I-41 left lane closure between WIS 96/Wisconsin Ave. and Capitol Drive from 10 a.m. until 6 a.m.
• Capitol Drive over I-41 between N. Capitol Court and Northridge Lane is closed until August 2024.

Thursday night

• NB I-41 at WIS 114/County JJ Interchange CLOSED 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
  o Detour: NB I-41 off-ramp to WIS 114/County JJ and re-enter via NB on-ramp from WIS 114/County JJ
• SB I-41 off-ramp to WIS 125/County CA CLOSED 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• SB I-41 on-ramp from WIS 125/County CA CLOSED 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Friday night

• SB I-41 off-ramp to County BB Ramp CLOSED 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• SB I-41 on-ramp from County BB Ramp CLOSED 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• NB I-41 off-ramp to County II ramp CLOSED 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Saturday night

• NB I-41 CLOSED between the ramps at County II Interchange from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  o Detour: NB I-41 off-ramp to County II and re-enter via NB on-ramp from County II

The DOT is expanding I-41 between De Pere and Grand Chute, and doing repairs from Grand Chute to Neenah.
