HOWARD, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Libraries across the nation are being recognized for the important role they play in the community.
Ahead of next week’s National Library Week, the Brown County Library is announcing this year’s theme as “Ready, Set, Library.”
According to Brown County Library executive director, Sarah Sugden, libraries can connect the community with others, help residents learn new skills, attend programs and events and access a wealth of informational resources.
During a news conference Monday, attendees heard updates on the new JobPod, new Bookmobile, building project updates and the effort behind the library working to become certified as a Family Place Library — the first in Wisconsin.
