MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Katrina Baur, the mother of the missing Elijah Vue, pleaded not guilty Friday to four charges, including chronic neglect of a child.
Friday’s hearing lasted two minutes.
No trial date was set. Prosecutors have until April 26 to make any plea offer, if it chooses to do so.
Her son was reported missing Feb. 20 by Jesse Vang, Baur’s boyfriend. Baur had sent the boy to live with Vang in Two Rivers to teach him discipline, according to the criminal complaints. Vang faces similar charges. He has a preliminary hearing set for April 4.
On Monday, police confirmed that a blanket that was found earlier in the investigation belonged to Elijah.
Police have asked the public to check surveillance cameras for video of a beige Nissan Altima that may be connected to the case.

Rewards totaling $40,000 are being offered in the case.
Elijah Vue is described as having dark blond hair and brown eyes. He is about three feet tall, weighs about 45 pounds and has a birthmark on his left knee.
