MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — High-speed internet access will expand across Door County, thanks to a $43.2 million grant.
The grant, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), is awarding money to fund 30 projects across the state, expanding high-speed internet access to about 16,000 homes and businesses.
This includes three projects in Door County:
- Egg Harbor: $960,000
- Sturgeon Bay: $552,299
- Sevastopol: $816,693
Under Gov. Evers’ leadership, since 2019, the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) has awarded grants to help more than 410,000 homes and businesses access new or improved broadband services.
