APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An adult and five children were injured in a crash on I-41 near Appleton.
At 7:51 a.m. Thursday, crews responded to the northbound area of I-41 and N. Lynndale Drive in Grand Chute for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash.
Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered an adult and small child had been ejected from the vehicle.
First responders quickly began providing aid to those ejected and multiple passengers still inside the vehicle.
The adult was flown to a local hospital and five children were taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
Multiple secondary crashes occurred as a result of the first rollover crash.
I-41 northbound is expected to remain closed for several hours to facilitate crash investigation and reconstruction.
