School hallway PC: Fox 11 Online
APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Appleton East High School students, staff members and parents are encouraged to apply for a grant that would fund learning and enrichment opportunities.
Applications are now being accepted for the “Patriots Pay It Forward” grant.
This year, the Patriots will award up to $2,500 for projects that enhance the Appleton East experience.
Potential projects include:
- Artists in residence (e.g. professional musicians working with student performers)
- Author visits (e.g. professional writers leading writing workshops)
- Beautification projects (e.g. creating spaces for showcasing student ingenuity and artwork)
- Providing unique opportunities for student engagement (e.g. registration fees for special events and projects).
In 2022, inaugural grants were awarded to the D.R.E.A.M. Team, Key Club, Library Media Center, Literary Club, and Sources of Strength at Appleton East High School.
The Patriots Pay It Forward grant application window closes on April 15. The 2024 grant winners will be announced at the Appleton East Patriot Pasta Party in May.
