An Oshkosh man is free on a signature bond, after being charged in the largest marijuana bust in Winnebago County’s history. 64-year-old Gerald Walters is charged with a felony count of manufacturing-and-delivering over 10,000 grams of pot.
Authorities seized 43 pounds of processed marijuana, and 475 pot plants from a home in the town of Vinland, near Oshkosh. Officers said the drug was of high quality, with an estimated total value of a half-million dollars to one-and-a-half million. Online court records do not list any previous criminal charges against Walters. He’s due back in court June 22nd for further proceedings, and a preliminary hearing in the case is set for June 25th.
