TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The search continues for a missing three-year-old boy in Two Rivers.
An Amber Alert has been issued for Elijah Vue who was last seen by his adult caregiver at 8 a.m. Tuesday at his home in the 3900 block of Mishicot Road. This is near Forest View Cemetery and Holy Cross Cemetery.
Police have said there are no family members or associates in the area.
As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, police say they do not have any updates to report.
There is a police presence at the cemeteries.
Residents organized a search party Wednesday morning near 39th street and Martin Lane, the area where the boy was last seen.
Sue Hett, who lives nearby, says she felt like she had to help look for Elijah who is possibly out there with no shoes and no jacket.
“The outpouring yesterday was unbelievable. They had the SWAT team set up in the cemetery and a lot of police, a lot of everybody, but the people, cars, constant looking down each little street, people going slow, people on foot, I’ve never seen such an outpouring, and then the helicopter came, was right over our house and I think they were going up and down the river but we just got to find some answers,” she said.
Vue is described as having sandy brown hair and brown eyes. He is about three feet tall, weighs about 45 pounds and has a birth mark on his left knee.
He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a long-sleeved dark-colored shirt and red and green dinosaur slip-on shoes. Vue may be carrying a red and white plaid blanket.
Authorities are asking neighbors to check outbuildings, vehicles or other concealed areas on their property. Anyone with a doorbell camera is also asked to check to see if Elijah shows up on the video.
Anyone with information is asked to call (920) 686-7200.
Police are also asking people not to use their own drones to search as they could interfere with law enforcement drones.
