GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay is kicking off a day of giving in style with a tailgate party.
The 24-hour crowdfunding event Give BIG Green Bay encourages individuals, groups and businesses to donate to benefit 50 area nonprofits.
The giving starts at noon Wednesday and will go through noon Thursday.
Organizers and community members gathered at the Johnsonville Tailgate Village at Lambeau Field for the big start.

Last year’s event raised more than $2.47 million to support 45 nonprofits serving Brown County. A combined total of over $10.46 million has been raised through Give BIG Green Bay in its first six years, through 35,089 donations.
