(WTAQ-WLUK) — Four people were taken into custody after drugs and firearms turned up in a search during a traffic stop in Fond du Lac County.
It happened just after 4 a.m. on Feb. 6 on I-41 near Lincoln Road.
A deputy pulled a vehicle over for a lighting violation.
The deputy noticed packaging for a THC based product and searched the vehicle and found 29 grams of cocaine in a sock hidden under the cover of the fuse box under the hood and a stolen handgun was found hidden between the fuse box and air filter box. A check of the serial number showed the firearm was reported stolen out of Oshkosh in 2022.
Two of the four occupants of the vehicle were convicted felons and had significant criminal histories including drug and violent offenses, both were out on bail, and one was on probation.
All four suspects were arrested. Those arrested included a 44-year-old man, a 26-year-old Appleton man and 20-year-old Oshkosh woman.
