WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Waupaca man was taken to the hospital after police say he accidentally shot himself in the leg.
Just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the Dollar General Store on Fulton Street for a report of a man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Police say the man was trying to manipulate his concealed carry firearm while getting into his vehicle when the gun accidentally went off.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No one else was hurt.
