ST. CLOUD, MN (WTAQ) – A cancer survivor has one more state to cross off his list of 48 continental states to visit.
That state is Wisconsin. He touched down in Minnesota Wednesday night, at the St. Cloud Regional Airport.
74-year-old Jim Davis of Arkansas is a life-long aviator, who was given 9 months to live last December, after being diagnosed with what appeared to be fourth-stage liver cancer. He then set out to accomplish a goal of flying into each of the 48 continental U.S. states, spreading a message of cancer awareness and hope.
After stopping in 27 states, Davis went home to find there were no more spots on his liver or his lung. He does not believe it’s a coincidence.
Davis says that you can still live after the diagnosis — you don’t have to quit. You can follow his blog here.
