FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested after Fond du Lac County deputies found fentanyl hidden under the hood of his vehicle.
On Friday night, K9 deputy Rip was called to assist a state trooper on a traffic stop.
K9 Rip altered on the vehicle during an open air sniff and a search was conducted.
The deputy noticed a small black box with a cord attached to it tucked under the front passenger-side headlight. The box had two magnets glued to the back of it, allowing it to cling to metal in the engine compartment. Inside the box was a large quantity of “M-30” suspected fentanyl pills.
The driver is currently serving a sentence and on parole for burglary and auto theft and has a pending open court case in Brown County for possession with intent to deliver fentanyl.
