ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Passenger traffic was strong at Green Bay’s airport in 2023.
Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport reports its passenger numbers were up 9.4% overall from 2022, totaling 670,377 passengers.
Airport director, Marty Piette, attributes the growth to a number of factors, including:
Increased air service from American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines and low-fare carriers, Frontier Airlines and Sun Country Airlines
Return of business travel
Enhanced amenities for travelers, including new restaurants in the main terminal on concourse
Easy of traveling out of Green Bay’s airport
Brown County executive Troy Streckenbach says when you fly with GRB, you support the local economy and the airlines that serve the airport. The more you fly local, the more likely it is that the airlines will respond by adding capacity and flight options.
