APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The owner of now-closed furniture store is now facing federal drug charges, and the case in state court has been closed.
Christopher Turner, 31, faces two federal charges: possession with intent to deliver 40 grams or more of a substance containing fentanyl, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Turner is being held without bond. He returns to court Jan. 31 for a preliminary hearing, court records state.
According to the charges, confidential informants arranged controlled buys of fentanyl from Turner on several occasions, including at Turner Furniture on College Avenue in Grand Chute.
When confronted with the evidence against him Turner told investigators “that they wanted a bigger fish and that he would give them the biggest (expletive) fish from Milwaukee to the Fox Valley,” the complaint states.
Turner had pleaded not guilty in Outagamie County court, but no trial date had been set.
