(WTAQ-WLUK) — Door County is an enticing option for people looking to quit their jobs and start over, at least according to one poll.
A survey by JoyOrganics.com found Door County to be one of the 150 “best places in America to escape the rat race.”
Door County came in 136th in the poll of 3,000 professionals.
According to the results:
Known as the “Cape Cod of the Midwest,” Door County offers picturesque lighthouses, charming coastal towns, and abundant outdoor activities, making it an ideal destination for a corporate-free lifestyle.
Kailua, Hawaii, took the top spot. The website says Kailua, which is located on Oahu, “offers beautiful beaches, outdoor activities, and a laid-back atmosphere. It’s ideal for a relaxed life away from the city’s bustle.”
Two other Wisconsin locations emerged in the top 150 results.
