GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Packers fans have been here before: another post season loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Fans left Stadium View Sports Bar sad Saturday night, but maybe not quite as sad as some of those other past games.
“I was a little disappointed, not going to lie,” said Briana Patze of Green Bay. “I thought we were going to win it at the beginning. I was so excited, but it didn’t turn out.”
“I think we kept up close, but I mean Love just needed to keep calm and keep everything settled,” said Parker Kreutzberg of Green Bay. “We just couldn’t do it today.”
Despite the loss, all fans we spoke with say the overall season was a success.
“We learned Jordan Love was the guy and that was the largest part of it,” said Eric Fischer of De Pere. “We got a bonus playoff win out of it, playoff experience for the young guys, so 2025 is going to be awesome.”
“I think we did good as having a first time quarterback,” said Kailyn Hermans of Green Bay. “Love, I think he’s great and I think going forward we’re going to be good.”
“All the haters, I just want to say that is my quarterback, J Love. J Love baby. Nothing else to say honestly,” said Jon Maldonado of Green Bay.
Before the Packers hit the field for training camp, fans say some changes would help get the young team to the next level.
“Fire Joe Barry, ASAP,” said Fischer. “That is number one, maybe a new kicker, we’ll see”
“I hope we train, get better, better at offensive development, everything, all nine yards,” said Kreutzberg. “We got it next year.”
“Honestly I think they just need to keep working better and communicating as a team and they’ll be great,” said Patze.
Dreams of Super Bowl glory are put away until training camp.
