ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The weather may have been bitterly cold outside, but that didn’t stop Packers fans from coming together to watch their team win big over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
“This is our game. We’ve been running it since 1919,” said Billy Palmer.
Overall, the statements were the same. Green Bay’s wild card win was a welcomed surprise.
“They dominated,” said Kylie Mulhern. “And I wasn’t expecting that, I was not.”
Fans were very surprised at the team’s hot start, where they jumped to a 20-point halftime lead.
“To believe what we were at halftime,” said Larry Kittoe. “Oh, I love it. Love it, love it, love it.”
It was loud all afternoon at Stadium View Bar and Grille, where all eyes were glued to the game.
Fans were especially impressed with the performance of Jordan Love.
“Everyone doubted him,” said Mulhern. “And you can’t doubt somebody that early.”
With an upcoming matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, the confidence from fans is through the roof.
“Don’t you think it’s kind of magical that Jordan Love comes in right after Rodgers, Rodgers couldn’t do it, we love Rodgers but, wouldn’t it be kind of sick that Jordan Love comes in and then just beats the niners?” said David Merrill. “That’s what I think. I think we’re going to come in and shock the world just like we did today.”
After Sunday’s dominant victory, fans say there’s reason to believe the Lombardi trophy could be brought back home this season.
