OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) — The death of a 2-year-old child is under investigation, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office says.
On Saturday around 9:30 a.m., deputies responded to a residence on Liberty Lane in the town of Freedom for a report of a child who was not breathing.
Deputies and first responders arrived and rendered aid to the child before the child was taken to a hospital. Those efforts were unsuccessful.
The family of the child is cooperating with investigators.
Investigators say no additional details will be released. It may be several weeks before further information is available.
