MILWAUKEE, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) An anti-gun-violence group is suing over a Milwaukee police shooting. The Brady Group filed the lawsuit Wednesday, claiming The Shooters Shop of West Allis sold the gun illegally that was later used to wound a Milwaukee PD officer.
The suit says it was a straw purchase, followed by at least one other private sale that put the pistol in the hand of Tomas Uriegas. He’s charged with shooting Officer Brandon Baranowski in 2016.
Baranowski survived the shooting.
