MADISON, Wis. (Wheeler News Service) — Wisconsin will replace the Badger Exam given to public school students. The Department of Public Instruction said Thursday it will contract with Data Recognition Corporation for a new assessment exam, called the Wisconsin Forward Exam.
The exam is expected to be shorter and less expensive, and will be given online. State educators will be involved in developing and reviewing the test.
Students will start taking the test next spring.
