APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The man killed on Christmas Eve in downtown Appleton has been identified.
Police said Wednesday that Elijah D. Dodson, 22, of Milwaukee, was killed in the 100 block of S. Walnut Street. An autopsy was performed Tuesday at the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officers said they were called to the scene around 2 a.m. Sunday for a report of gunshots. Officers tried to save Dodson at the scene, but he later died at the hospital.
