TOWN OF WESCOTT, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – An ice fisherman was found dead Monday in Shawano County.
The fisherman went fishing on Lulu Lake and did not return home.
He was found in the water without his vehicle.
Near the fishing gear, law enforcement discovered a hole in the ice.
After efforts to try and rescue the man, he was found dead at the scene.
He had gone missing yesterday around 4:30 p.m.
The fisherman was 78 years old.
His name will not be released at this time.
