FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – A Ripon man has been convicted of contributing to the death of his brother.
Online court records indicate Robert Diamentis pled no contest to a charge of “negligently subjecting an individual at risk to abuse – cause death.”
Three other charges, including hiding a corpse, were dismissed. Diamentis was originally accuse of hiding his brother Richard’s body in a plastic barrel at their Ripon home.
According to the criminal complaint, Diamentis says he hid the corpse for several months because he didn’t want people to think he was neglecting his brother, who had been bedridden.
A sentencing date has not been scheduled.
