MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – The head of Wisconsin’s Better Business Bureau for the last 18 years will retire next October 1st.
72-year-old Randall Hoth is the only the third president of a state organization that’s been around for 76 years.
Hoth led the BBB through the onset of the digital age, and the massive numbers of online scams that have come with it. He says many people don’t know the importance of checking out unbiased facts about businesses and charities before they spend or donate money.
Hoth says the Wisconsin BBB has maintained its integrity into the digital era. The formal name of the state chapter is the “Better Business Bureau Serving Wisconsin.”
It handled 2.3 million requests last year for information about businesses and charities, and almost 11,000 consumer complaints.
